Manzanar War Relocation Camp and the Eastern California Museum
During World War II, innocent Americans of Japanese decent called Nisei were imprisoned at the Manzanar War Relocation Camp. Today, a monument called the Tower of Memory stands as a symbol for the entire Manzanar experience. Nearby Eastern California Museum displays numerous interesting collections, including renowned photographer Ansel Adams Born Free and Equal, a collection of photographs of everyday life in the camp. |
