Laughlin, Nevada Activities Visit the old west town of Oatman Not far from Laughlin sits the town of Oatman, literally just a block long. Founded by gold miners, it sits on old Route 66 and is best known for the wild burros that wander its streets everyday. Oatman was once a real Wild West town and it retains much of this flavor today, as you can just about set your watch to the high noon gunfight.
